Tailored Recruitment Consultancy are working with a leading Manufacturer in Telford to recruit and experienced Quality Assurance Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all quality assurance (QA) functions and working with cross-departmental leadership to continuously deliver high quality products, process design and compliance programs, and monitoring and reporting of performance. You will establish and maintain a Quality system to ensure its people, methods, processes, and procedures, are aligned with their quality policies and standards, as well as government legislative standards.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for all Food Safety and Quality aspects of the site.
• To ensure that raw materials, intermediates and finished goods meet specifications as well as Customer and Consumer expectations.
• Working with the production teams and customers, review the factory operation daily to ensure that products meet the Food Safety, Quality and Legality standards set by the company, customers and regulatory authorities.

• Maintain internal quality systems, including SALSA, customer technical standards
• Inspect the factory daily for compliance to company standards
• Investigate internal non-conformances and where applicable decide on disposition of any affected stock.
• Manage HACCP team holding regular meetings to ensure the system is updated, manged and implemented.
• Implement and enforce in-process product inspection standards
• Establish standards for the disposition and lifecycle of finished product through evaluation tests, methods, and procedures.
• Create product quality documentation systems by working with management to develop and update quality assurance procedures.
• Lead the Site Quality Improvement plan
• Lead and deliver successful GMP and SALSA audits on site.
• Develop and improve lead quality improvement initiatives to support the site.
• Identify and define training requirements for the factory operation, including all technical team members.
• Deliver improvements in product processing
• Manage site internal audit schedule and ensure any non- conformances are identified, tracked and closed out by the relevant manager(s). Where necessary assist in drawing up a corrective action plan and monitor progress.
